Linda Nash

Chief Executive Officer

After looking at a number of entrepreneurial ventures, Linda Nash noted the success of enhanced-care medical practices in other cities. She researched the amount of time available for local patients at family practices in Richmond and recognized the demographic trends showing a coming shortage of family doctors. Her instinct told her that many families would budget more for housecalls, full doctor access and in-depth physical exams if they had a choice. In early 2003, Linda opened the doors to PartnerMD, a membership medical practice that gives patients unparalleled round-the-clock access to their doctor.  PartnerMD now has over 3,000 members and a ninety six percent retention rate, and a second office in McLean, Virginia.

Linda also started the first exclusively school age childcare program in Richmond. Over the next 15 years, she opened the first office park childcare center, partnered with Henrico Doctor’s Hospital, and opened six more workplace childcare centers in Richmond and Northern Virginia. After 15 years, she sold the schools to a public company, and then began a national consulting practice helping preschool start-ups and chains with curriculum, design, business models, and acquisitions. She also helped a chain of eight schools successfully find a national buyer by partnering with a merger and acquisition firm.

Linda designed and started the Compass Schools, a private preschool and kindergarten, where she served as CEO for three years. The company has five locations currently in Northern Virginia and the Midwest, and several more in development, and is also launching a franchise arm.  She also advises her family company, Track and Field News, and Track and Field Tours, where she is a major shareholder.  She is now on the University of Richmond Business School Entrepreneur Advisory Board and she has served on the boards of The Visual Arts Center, The Children’s Museum of Richmond, the Venture Forum, and the Powell Endowment.  Linda also served as Chairman of the Board and President of The Attention Builders, Inc. which manufactured a patented device to help children and adults with attention deficit disorder.    Linda has also consulted with start-ups, family run companies, and preschools on a variety of projects, including Collegiate Schools, Nobel Education Dynamics, and a variety of other companies.   She also served on Lt. Gov. Tim Kaine’s Healthcare Commission charged with reducing the costs of health care, and Barack Obama’s Women’s Leadership Committee.

Linda graduated from the University of California at Berkley and has a master's degree from Virginia Commonwealth University.
