Frequently Asked Questions:

What insurance does PartnerMD® accept?
PartnerMD® works with almost all insurance carriers and HMOS, and with Medicare. If you have specific questions about this, please be sure to contact us.
How do I transfer my medical records to PartnerMD® from my current doctor?
We will provide a patient record transfer form. Simply complete and sign the form, and return it to us. We will manage the process for you.
What is different about PartnerMD®'s annual Physical Exam?
It's far more thorough - at three hours - involving in-depth discussions with your doctor, a series of medical tests employing the latest technology, and a fitness and nutrition consultation. You will receive your Personal Health Plan which clearly outlines your current medical status and health goals for the coming year.
Does PartnerMD® accept children?
Yes. While PartnerMD® is not specifically a pediatric practice, we welcome children over the age of five.
What happens if my doctor is not available?
After regular office hours one of our full-time PartnerMD® doctors is always available to you, at any time of day or night. You can call the doctor on call directly by cell phone or through our main phone number (not through a slow answering-service intermediary).
PartnerMD® is a family practice - what happens when I have to see a specialist?
PartnerMD® will be glad to work with the specialists you've always had. Your PartnerMD® doctor has access to an extensive network of specialists and can help expedite contact with them. We'll follow up after your visit there, too. In other words, your PartnerMD® doctor will help you navigate the process.
Are there restrictions on which hospitals I may use?
PartnerMD® physicians have consulting privileges with nearby hospitals. Your physician will help coordinate your hospital stay and act as your advocate while you are there.
If I join now, can members of my family join later?
Yes, and each additional family member joins at a lower rate. See our current membership fee schedule.
If I become ill and require extensive medical services, will my membership fee increase?
Absolutely not. Your relationship with PartnerMD® is not influenced by your health condition.
What happens if I wish to withdraw from the practice?
You may withdraw from the practice, for any reason, with 30 days written notice. Your membership fee will be reimbursed to you on a pro-rated basis.
