The standard is an annual payment; however, semi-annual, quarterly, and monthly payment plans are also available.<< Back to Top >> Do I still need health insurance?Membership with PartnerMD is not a replacement for your health insurance. Our physicians work with most major insurance plans in network and Medicare.<< Back to Top >> Are membership/concierge medical practices new?Concierge practices began in the late 1980’s and have become more popular with the current primary care doctor shortage.<< Back to Top >> Does PartnerMD accept children?Yes. While PartnerMD is not specifically a pediatric practice, we welcome children over the age of five.<< Back to Top >> What happens if my doctor is not available?After regular office hours, one of our full-time PartnerMD doctors is always available to you, at any time of the day or night. You can call the doctor on call directly by cell phone or through our main phone number (not through a slow answering-service intermediary).<< Back to Top >> PartnerMD is a family practice. What happens when I have to see a specialist?PartnerMD physicians will recommend you to specialists of excellence, which are selected from an extensive network of topflight medical professionals. These appointments are arranged and expedited through our onsite medical concierge.<< Back to Top >> If I join now, can my family members join later?Yes, and each additional family member joins at a lower rate. Ask a membership associate for our current membership fee schedule.<< Back to Top >> If I become ill and require extensive medical services, will my membership fee increase?Absolutely not. Your relationship with PartnerMD is not influenced by your health condition.<< Back to Top >> Who are PartnerMD's members?At PartnerMD, we have an eclectic patient base that comes from all occupations and walks of life, from school teachers, police officers and executives to retirees and families.<< Back to Top >> Are there restrictions on which hospitals I may use?PartnerMD physicians have consulting privileges with nearby hospitals; your physician will help coordinate your hospital stay and act as an advocate while you are there.<< Back to Top >> What happens if I wish to withdraw from the practice?You may withdraw from the practice, for any reason, with 30 days written notice. Your membership fee will be reimbursed to you on a pro-rated basis.<< Back to Top >> What is different about PartnerMD members’ Annual Health Exam?It’s far more thorough, at 2 1/2 hours, involving in-depth discussions with your doctor, a series of medical tests employing the latest technology, and a fitness and nutrition consultation with an exercise physiologist.
