Dr. Pong received his bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Santa Cruz and his medical degree from the University of California, San Francisco in 1990. He completed his residency in family medicine at the Community Hospital of Sonoma County, Santa Rosa.
Prior to joining PartnerMD in 2007, Dr. Pong was an assistant professor of clinical medicine at the Medical College of Virginia at Virginia Commonwealth University for first- and second-year medical students from 1995–2007. He was also a team physician for Deep Run High School in Glen Allen from 2001–2005.
Dr. Pong was awarded a Richmond Magazine “Top Doc” family physician in both 2006 and 2007.
Dr. Pong lives in Richmond, Va., with his wife. His hobbies include volleyball, fly-fishing, kayaking and cooking.
