Greenville: Making Strides for Breast Cancer WalkSunday, October 6, 2019
Join PartnerMD Greenville in the fight against breast cancer!
Making Strides of Greenville takes place on Sunday, October 6, 2019 at 2:00 pm.
The American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walks raise awareness and funds to save lives from breast cancer. Each event is a noncompetitive 3 to 5 mile walk that brings people together to make a difference for everyone who has been touched by breast cancer. The events raise money to fund innovative research, provide free information and support, and to help people reduce their breast cancer risk or find it early when it’s most treatable.
According to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer. It is estimated that each year in the U.S. over 252,710 women will be diagnosed, and over 40,500 will lose their battle. We have an opportunity to change these statistics.
All proceeds from this event go back into the local community to fund transportation, lodging, treatment, and research for men and women who are fighting breast cancer.
