About the Event
Certified Tai Chi & Qigong instructor Mary Pinkard delivers a brief educational lecture followed by a demonstration of Tai Chi & Qigong. This event is for all ages.
About the Instructor
Mary Pinkard has expertise in multiple wellness domains. She has studied under Qigong experts Dr. Kevin Chen from the University of Maryland, Daisy Lee, and Lee Holden. She is certified as a Level II Professional with the National Qigong Association. She also holds certifications in Feng Shui, and obtained training certificates in Yoga and Tai Chi.
Mary teaches Qigong and group fitness classes locally and has worked on wellness projects with GBMC, McDaniel College, University of MD Medical School, St. Joe’s Hospital, the Institute for Integrative Health, and Walter Reed Hospital. She continues to work at Brick Bodies while maintaining her affiliations with the American Aerobics and Fitness Association, National Qigong Association, and the American Dowsers Association.
She has a degree in Music Education from Skidmore College and a graduate degree in Early Childhood Education from Towson University. The integration of music and wellness education influence her practice and teaching.
