Richmond-based PartnerMD, a membership medical practice specializing in primary care and executive health, today welcomed the addition of Dr. Barry Wein to its Richmond practice. Dr. Wein joined the expanding company, which now includes 20 physicians across the country, on September 12, 2013.

“PartnerMD will allow me to spend more time with my patients, which is critical to understanding the full story of their health,” Dr. Wein said.

Prior to joining PartnerMD, Dr. Wein practiced at Bon Secours Patterson Avenue Family Practice. He has also served as Medical Director for the Elizabeth Adam Crump Manor Nursing Home and as Assistant Medical Examiner for the City of Newport News.

Dr. Wein received his bachelor’s degree from Duke University and his medical degree from Thomas Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. He completed his internship and residency at Riverside Family Practice in Newport News, an affiliate of the Medical College of Virginia. Dr. Wein is board-certified in family practice and is a member of the American Academy of Family Practice, American Medical Association, Virginia Academy of Family Practice and the Richmond Academy of Medicine.

PartnerMD’s practice offers members 24/7 access to their physician, minimal waiting time, and a holistic approach to care which focuses on prevention and healthy living.

Dr. Wein is accepting new patients to be seen at PartnerMD’s Richmond practice, which is located at 7001 Forest Avenue. To support a deeper doctor-patient relationship, each PartnerMD physician will only take 600 patients, as compared to the thousands of patients a primary care physician may have under the traditional health care model.
