PartnerMD, a membership medical practice based in Richmond, Va., announced today that Baltimore-area residents will soon have increased access to concierge-style medicine with the opening of its first Maryland office in February 2014. Drs. Tamara Sobel and Ellie Goldbloom will practice in the new office located at 9 Park Center Court, Suite 200, in Owings Mills.

The Owings Mills practice will be PartnerMD’s eighth office nationally. The company has experienced exponential growth as the demand for membership-based medicine has increased alongside health care changes and concerns over physician shortages.

Dr. Tamara Sobel has practiced in the area for 20 years and is board-certified in internal medicine.

Dr. Ellie Goldbloom has practiced in the area for 17 years and is board-certified in internal medicine and is a member of the American Medical Association, American College of Physicians and the MedChi Maryland State Medical Society. Both physicians most recently practiced at Crossroads Internal Medicine in Owings Mills.

Founded in 2003 with one doctor and 40 patients, PartnerMD now includes 24 physicians and 5,500 members in Richmond, Midlothian, McLean and Lansdowne, Va.; Greenville, S.C.; Seattle, Wash.; and Atlanta.

PartnerMD members pay a reasonable annual fee to receive 24/7 access to their physician; on-time, no-rush appointments; a personalized Personal Health Portfolio detailing results of their annual physical and many other amenities not offered by traditional primary care practices.
