PartnerMD CEO Zack Smith is committed to providing concierge members and executive health clients with excellent medical care in a welcoming, positive environment.
As a college student, Zack Smith spent his summers working in a sawmill outside of Charleston, South Carolina. That summer job connected him to his 32-year career with what is now known as WestRock, a corporation that specializes in packaging solutions. While with WestRock, Zack took on many different roles within the company, including business development, marketing, strategy and various roles leading large, international business units. In his most recent assignment with WestRock, Zack and his family lived in Shanghai, China as he led both their global beverage business and several other corporate interests in the Asia-Pacific region. He then traveled back to Richmond, Virginia with his family.
Zack’s professional background makes him uniquely qualified for his current position as PartnerMD CEO, but personal motivations led him to ultimately make a career change. After 32 years of traveling the world with a great company, Zack moved on from WestRock. Because of his family’s impactful and personal experience with some very memorable doctors, nurses and healthcare providers, he sought a position in which he could also positively impact others’ lives. PartnerMD was a natural choice, combining Zack’s extensive leadership experience with his desire to truly make a difference with people’s health care decisions.
As Chief Executive Officer, Zack is committed to reshaping the conversation around prevention focused medicine. His goal is to build awareness that, while concierge medicine is a premium service, it is an achievable way for anyone to take greater ownership of their health and allow more people the opportunity to build lasting relationships with compassionate healthcare providers. He also believes that executive physicals are a great investment for companies of all sizes. Protecting employees by identifying health risks early is not only a smart business decision but a way for companies to show that they genuinely care for their employees.
Zack loves being able to spend time with his family and enjoys fishing, boating, golf and tennis.
