If you've decided concierge medicine is the right choice for you, your next question is likely, "Which practice should I choose?"
At first glance, many concierge practices seem remarkably similar. Most promise longer appointments, better access to your physician, and a more personalized healthcare experience. But once you look beyond the basics, you'll find that the way each practice delivers that experience can be very different.
For more than 20 years, PartnerMD has been helping patients experience a different approach to primary care. We've seen firsthand that while many concierge practices share similar goals, the way they deliver care, structure their memberships, and support patients can vary significantly.
At PartnerMD, we believe it's not just about having a concierge physician. It's about belonging to a concierge practice where every member of your care team is committed to the same personalized approach to care.
Here's what makes PartnerMD different.
Not all concierge practices are built the same.
Some concierge physicians practice within fully dedicated concierge offices, while others offer concierge care within larger medical practices that also serve traditional primary care patients. The structure of a practice can shape your experience just as much as the physician you choose.
At PartnerMD, you're joining a fully integrated concierge practice.
Your care team includes more than just a concierge physician. Depending on your needs, you'll also work with a dedicated nurse, certified health coach, referral coordinator, and other experienced team members who support your care throughout the year.
Every member of your care team works within the same concierge care model. Our offices aren't balancing two different approaches to primary care or serving both concierge and traditional primary care patients. Instead, every physician, nurse, health coach, referral coordinator, and support team member is focused on delivering the same personalized experience to every member.
A concierge experience starts the moment you walk through the door.
Whether you're scheduling an appointment, speaking with a nurse, meeting with your physician, or coordinating specialist care, every interaction is designed around personalized, responsive service and long-term relationships.
"Patients certainly value their relationship with their physician, but they also value every interaction with our care team. Our physicians, nurses, and staff all play an important role in creating the PartnerMD experience."
— Dr. Jim Mumper, Founding Physician & Chief Medical Officer
That same integrated approach extends beyond our offices. When you need a specialist, your care team helps coordinate referrals, share medical information, and keep everyone on the same page, so you don't have to navigate the healthcare system alone.
After years of feeling rushed through appointments and like just another number, Debra Zawadzki was looking for something she hadn't experienced in a long time: a healthcare team that truly knew her.
When she joined PartnerMD, that feeling changed.
"I feel valued and respected as a human being," Debra says. "Everyone is kind and caring and makes you feel like you matter."
For Debra, the difference wasn't simply having longer appointments. It was building a true partnership with her physician and knowing she had an entire team supporting her health.
"When I thought about the name, I thought, 'How perfect is that,' Debra says. "My doctor partners with me in my healthcare. We make decisions together. We brainstorm solutions together."
Today, Debra says she has something she never found in her previous healthcare experiences: confidence that she is heard, supported, and never navigating her health alone.
Debra's experience reflects what many PartnerMD members report.
In PartnerMD's 2025 End of Year Member Survey, more than 9 in 10 members (90.59%) said they feel confident that everything related to their health is being addressed.
Around-the-clock access is one of the hallmarks of concierge medicine, but how that care is delivered can vary from one practice to another.
Some practices rely on different physician coverage models when your doctor is away or unavailable. That's why it's important to understand who you'll be speaking with after hours and whether they'll have access to your medical history.
At PartnerMD, your care doesn't stop when your physician is away.
Our physicians rotate after-hours, weekend, and vacation coverage, so you'll always have access to another PartnerMD physician who practices within the same concierge model and has access to your medical record.
This approach allows our physicians to take well-deserved time away while ensuring members continue to receive informed, personalized care from someone who understands the PartnerMD philosophy and your health history.
For us, 24/7 physician access isn't just about answering the phone. It's about providing continuity of care whenever you need it.
Many people associate concierge medicine with greater access to their physician, but not every concierge practice includes certified health coaching as part of membership.
At PartnerMD, health coaching isn't an optional service. It's included as part of every membership.
Our certified health coaches work alongside your physician to help you turn medical advice into lasting lifestyle changes. Whether you're working to lose weight, improve your nutrition, manage stress, sleep better, increase your fitness, or simply build healthier habits, your health coach provides ongoing guidance, education, and accountability.
Your physician helps you understand what needs to change. Your health coach helps you make those changes stick.
Together, they create a partnership that supports your health throughout the year, not just during office visits.
"It's absolutely important for the health coach and physician to be on the same team. We often describe the physician as the quarterback of care, and my role is to support that plan and help patients achieve their health goals."
— Aaron Benator, PartnerMD Health Coach
Preventive care is one of the biggest reasons people choose concierge medicine, but not every practice approaches it the same way.
Many concierge practices include an extended annual physical and may also offer advanced testing or executive health services.
At PartnerMD, prevention is designed to be personalized.
Every membership includes our Classic Physical, while members who want a more comprehensive evaluation can choose to upgrade to our Enhanced or Signature Physicals, providing additional testing and customization based on their individual health goals.
Advanced testing is only one part of prevention.
The greatest value comes from knowing when a test is appropriate, understanding what the results mean, and turning those insights into a long-term plan for better health.
Your physician works with you to determine which screenings and assessments make the most sense based on your health history, family history, personal goals, and risk factors. Depending on your needs, that may include advanced services such as Galleri® multi-cancer early detection testing, DEXA scans, VO₂ max testing, OpenDNA, or whole-body MRI referrals.
Rather than recommending the same testing for every member, we focus on identifying the screenings that are most meaningful for you and using those results to guide your care over time.
Advanced testing can provide valuable insights.
Your physician and health coach help turn those insights into action.
Membership fees are often one of the first things people compare when evaluating concierge medicine.
Costs vary by practice, physician, location, and what's included with membership. PartnerMD's membership pricing ($2,600-$3,600 per year, depending on the office) falls comfortably within the range of many concierge practices while including services such as certified health coaching, integrated specialist coordination, and a fully dedicated concierge care team.
Membership terms can vary just as much.
Some concierge practices require annual membership agreements, have automatic renewal policies, or place restrictions on cancellations and refunds. Understanding how a membership works before you enroll can help you avoid surprises later.
At PartnerMD, we believe your healthcare should adapt to your life, not the other way around.
Members may cancel with 30 days' written notice, and any prepaid membership fees are prorated and refunded for the unused portion of the membership.
We believe you should remain a PartnerMD member because you're receiving exceptional care, not because you're locked into a long-term commitment.
Many concierge practices offer similar services. The difference is how those services are delivered.
At PartnerMD, every part of your membership is designed to work together. From your physician and health coach to specialist coordination, personalized prevention, and 24/7 physician access, our integrated concierge care model is built around you.
It's an approach our members believe is worth the investment. More than 9 in 10 members (91.09%) agree that PartnerMD is a great value and an important investment in their health.
If you're comparing concierge practices, we'd love the opportunity to show you what makes PartnerMD different.
