As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker on PartnerMD’s Wellness Team, Erin Goldin brings a wealth of experience helping patients enhance their emotional well-being, better understand themselves, and navigate life’s complexities with confidence and resilience.
With a background spanning more than 20 years, Erin offers a supportive, non-judgmental space for patients to explore their thoughts, emotions, and goals.
"Whether you’re managing everyday stress, navigating a new medical diagnosis, or adjusting to a life change, my goal is to help you better understand yourself, build on your strengths, and find strategies that fit your life," Erin says.
Erin works with patients across a wide spectrum of needs, including managing anxiety and depression, adjusting to chronic illness, building self-esteem, handling life transitions like becoming an empty nester or retiring, and developing healthy coping mechanisms.
She also helps patients process anticipatory grief when facing a loved one’s serious illness and provides support after loss, drawing on both her professional expertise and personal experience after sadly losing her husband to cancer in 2011.
Her work is targeted and solution-focused, typically spanning six to eight sessions. If a patient would benefit from longer-term therapy, she helps connect them with the right resources to continue their journey.
"Every patient is different, so I adjust my approach to fit who you are," Erin says. "We’ll find what works best for you — whether that’s practical coping strategies, creative outlets, or something else entirely."
Erin utilizes evidence-based techniques like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused brief therapy, mindfulness practices, and psychoeducation to help patients develop realistic strategies for improving their emotional health.
Her philosophy emphasizes progress over perfection — small, consistent changes can lead to lasting improvements.
For patients who are new to therapy or hesitant about opening up, Erin works to create a comfortable, judgment-free environment from day one.
"Starting therapy can feel overwhelming, especially if you’ve had a negative experience before," Erin says. "I meet you where you are and we build from there."

Philosophy of Care
"Every patient’s journey is different, and I approach each person with compassion, creativity, and even a little humor when it helps. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe to be yourself — quirks, challenges, and all — and together, we’ll find realistic ways to move forward."
Favorite Part About Being an LCSW
"The most rewarding part of my work is seeing progress over time — watching someone who once felt overwhelmed discover new ways to cope, open up, and feel more confident in their daily life."
Outside of her work with patients, Erin tries to practice what she preaches — prioritizing her own mental and physical well-being through walking, dance aerobics, and water fitness.
She’s a lifelong college sports fan — with a special place in her heart for the Georgia Bulldogs — and loves spending time with her family and planning her next adventure, whether it’s a quick getaway or a trip to a new destination.
