As a board-certified family physician and concierge doctor in Richmond, VA for more than 25 years, Dr. David Pong works to develop trusting relationships with his patients to empower them to get the health outcomes they want.
"I do a lot of teaching," he says. "I see my job as helping translate the often-complicated world of healthcare into something clear and actionable you can use to improve your life."
Dr. Pong focuses on providing his patients with the knowledge and tools to pursue their own goals.

Dr. Pong has a wealth of experience helping his patients understand preventive techniques, especially those relating to cardiovascular disease, obesity, and diabetes.

Dr. Pong also serves as PartnerMD’s Director of Wellness. In that role, he leads PartnerMD’s Wellness Program, which health coaching from PartnerMD's certified health coaches and Wellness University, our online platform with courses about diet and nutrition, physical fitness, stress and sleep, and cognitive health.

Dr. Pong grew up in a small town before going to college at the University of California at Santa Cruz.
He swam competitively throughout his childhood, has enjoyed a lifelong love of sailing and fishing, and played volleyball up until a few years ago when his knees told him it was time to hang it up.
In his free time, he loves exercising, cooking, fly fishing, and spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren, and extended family.
