As a board-certified internist and concierge doctor in Owings Mills, Dr. Ellie Goldbloom works to provide her patients with the best preventive medical care possible.
"I have a passion for preventive medicine," she says. "Whether it’s an impending chronic disease or a lifestyle habit that could cause problems down the road, I believe the outcomes are always better if you can get out in front of it."
Education is a critical component of Dr. Goldbloom’s practice. She has in-depth discussions with her patients about their health, including when it comes to disease, so they can come together to map out a treatment plan.
"I try and get to know the person and their medical and personal history but also what they want to achieve by coming here," she says. "As their physician, I will certainly make recommendations. But if that is not what they had in mind, I am certainly open to a discussion to figure out the best path forward for them."
Dr. Goldbloom discovered her passion for medicine during high school when she did candy striping at a local hospital and took care of a ward of the state who was abandoned due to her clinical features from a rare disease.
Since then, she’s dedicated her career to being a trusted partner for all her patients as she helps them through a variety of health issues and diseases.
