About Coach Sarah
“For me, being a health coach is about helping others succeed in their own health journeys,” Sarah says, “My goal is to provide the tools and resources my patients need to fulfill their goals.”
Sarah earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Foods, Nutrition, and Dietetics from Carson Newman University. She also has a Master’s in Public Health with an emphasis in nutrition from Liberty University, and she enjoys educating others on the impact of food on our overall health and wellbeing.
A Type 1 diabetic, Sarah was diagnosed when she was 14 and worked for six years at a camp for young diabetics. “It was that experience that inspired me to make health and wellness a career.”
Before joining PartnerMD, she worked for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation in Richmond, as a nutritionist for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) in Petersburg, and as a health educator for the Virginia Department of Health.
She also worked as a dietary expert for Edible Education, a cooking school dedicated to getting kids excited about preparing real food, and as a nutritionist for The Faces of Hope, a clinic specializing in childhood obesity.
