About Dr. Solderitch

As an internal medicine physician in Richmond, VA, Dr. Victoria Solderitch provides attentive, personalized care to adults navigating any stage of life – from young adults to the elderly. She looks at the health issues her patients face like solving a puzzle involving the whole person.

“I use a team approach based on science and knowledge to provide options that are not only clinically correct, but that work with their lifestyles,” she says. “Telling people what to do isn’t enough to motivate them. I make sure we factor in a whole-person approach so we remain focused on what’s important.”

Dr. Solderitch’s primary passion in healthcare is preventive medicine and wellness. “It’s not just about medication,” she says. “There are alternative therapies and other ways to bring health to people. It’s about meeting people where they are in life.”

Before joining PartnerMD, Dr. Solderitch worked in internal medicine for more than a decade. That experience has equipped her with the skills necessary to provide personalized, preventive healthcare for her patients.

“I've always been on the frontlines taking care of dozens of patients every day," she says. "It has shown me how things can unravel in life, and I've always thought about what I would do if I could go three steps back and prevent the person from being hospitalized.”

She earned her medical degree from the Louisiana State University School of Medicine and completed her internal medicine residency from LSU’s Earl K. Long Hospital in Baton Rouge, LA.

She has published numerous studies and research in various medical publications and was named a finalist in Research and Innovations by the (organization) for her research titled “Is Positivity Contagious? A Shared Approach to Resilience to Abate Hospitalist Burnout.

Dr. Solderitch's Philosophy of Care

Dr. Solderitch believes every patient deserves to be treated as their own unique healthcare situation.

“I believe in health at every size,” she says. “We can work together to optimize you medically and reduce the need for medication if possible. There’s an overall wellness that can be achieved, and that’s what I really want to deliver for my patients.”

One important thing she wants patients to know is that you don’t have to reach your end goal to start. She frequently helps patients develop a plan that starts small and is reevaluated as progress is made. When first meeting with a patient, she wants to learn a few things.

“How do you like feedback? Who makes up your support system? How do you picture your own health at the moment? I want to know how you see yourself, what brings you joy, and what your motivation is for becoming healthier,” she says. “Then we can get it work on making it happen.”

Dr. Solderitch: Beyond the Exam Room

Dr. Solderitch lives in Richmond with her wife, an orthopedic surgeon herself, and their two sons. Outside the office, she loves spending time with her family, hiking, and doing arts and crafts.

Their family also maintains a flourishing hydroponic tower garden with fresh vegetables. “It’s mostly my wife doing the gardening, but I contribute by helping to harvest at least,” she says.

She is passionate about the arts and literacy, and she maintains a small, free, diverse library in her community. When she gets a few moments of free time, she loves listening to audiobooks and crushing an exercise class on her Peloton.
