Emory is the biggest healthcare brand in the Atlanta area. However, there are a handful of other major hospitals.

Emory Healthcare

As the largest healthcare provider in the Atlanta area, Emory Healthcare operates 10 hospitals. At last check, they listed 320 primary care physicians at 161 locations.

Many locations are private practices in the Emory Healthcare network, such as GA Internal Medicine in Duluth, Emory Family Medicine in Dunwoody, or One Medical in Buckhead.

Piedmont Healthcare

Piedmont operates 16 hospitals throughout the state, including a handful in the Atlanta metro area. They employ more than 230 family medicine and internal medicine physicians at more than 65 primary care locations.

Northside Hospital

Northside Hospital operates five hospitals in the state, including in Atlanta, Canton, Duluth, Cumming, and Lawrenceville.

They also have more than 40 affiliated primary care practices throughout the state, such as the Center for Preventive Medicine in Atlanta or Gwinnett Family Medical Care in Snellville.

We have two family practice doctors in Sandy Springs — Dr. Rob Norris and Dr. Jennifer Tutt. Dr. Tutt started with us in January 2023 and is expected to start taking new patients in late February. Dr. Rakesh Sarma is an internal medicine physician who will join PartnerMD Sandy Springs in late February, too.
