You’re fed up with traditional primary care. You can’t stand waiting – days or weeks for an appointment and who knows how long in a lobby or exam room.
Happiness is worth pursuing and it’s also, in some cases, possible to predict. You’re looking at concierge medicine likely because traditional care hasn’t been an ideal experience for you. We think you’re right to look for an option that satisfies you.
Are you close to choosing a concierge medicine practice? If so, you want that decision to go perfectly. And so do we. We’re big proponents of double-checking a practice’s fit, and your expectations before you squiggle your signature on the dotted line.
As a concierge doctor, people frequently ask about the differences between what I do and what a traditional primary care doctor does.
As an employee benefits broker and advisor, one important part of your job is keeping up with the vendors and products on the market. Identify the products and programs you trust and believe in, so you can strategically and efficiently recommend them to your clients when the time comes.
Finding the right doctor is hard. You want to feel comfortable and confident. If you’re also looking for care for your family – maybe young children or aging parents – you feel even more pressure to make the right choice. When it comes to choosing the best concierge medicine practice in Northern Virginia, it can be even harder. You know you want more access and a better relationship with your doctor, but how do you pick the right one?
PartnerMD is pleased to welcome Dr. Lindsay Sherrard, a family medicine doctor who will join the Midlothian office in May. “The big thing PartnerMD provides for me is time,” Dr. Sherrard says. “I help my patients best when I know their history, their family, their concerns, and what they’ve been through in the past. That’s where I can really make a difference, and PartnerMD’s concierge model allows me to do just that.” Before joining PartnerMD, Dr. Sherrard practiced at Patterson Avenue Family Practice and, before that, Bon Secours St. Francis Family Medicine. Every patient is different, but Dr. Sherrard’s main goal is to help her patients pursue and achieve their goals. “I don’t want my patients to be limited by their health. I want them to be able to do what they want to do in life. Accomplishing that requires a proactive approach centered on preventive care and stopping problems before they start.” She earned her M.D. from the University of North Carolina School of Medicine and completed her family medicine residency at Self Regional Healthcare in South Carolina. Dr. Sherrard joins Dr. Robert Cross, Dr. Kevin Keller, and Dr. Susan Scharpf at the office. As a company, PartnerMD has more than 10,000 members in seven offices throughout Virginia, Maryland, South Carolina, and Georgia. “We are very excited to welcome Dr. Sherrard to our team in Midlothian,” PartnerMD Chief Medical Officer and Co-Founder Dr. Jim Mumper said. “We’ve been looking for a female doctor to add to our group there for quite some time and believe Dr. Sherrard will be a great fit. The number one thing we look for in physicians is a desire to provide the best care possible for patients and that’s exactly what Dr. Sherrard will deliver.”
